LinguaFolio Online (From CASLS at the University of Oregon) (Link)
LinguaFolio Online is an easy platform for students to self-reflect on what they can do in the target language and allows students a concrete way to visualize their progress through the proficiency levels. LinguaFolio Online utilizes the NCSSFL-ACTFL Can Do Statements, and has students reflect upon whether or not they Can Do, Can Do With Help, or are Not There Yet.
Additionally, the portfolio allows students to upload written work, documents, images, video, and audio in order to prove their progress in the standard. This could be a very powerful tool to help the teacher gather data and performance work for each student in order to track work for an SLO. Currently, the program costs $2 per student. |

Linguafolio Wisconsin (Link)
From the WAFLT website: LinguaFolio Wisconsin is a document in which those who are learning or have learned a language at school or outside school can reflect on their language learning and cultural experiences. It is a tool that can accompany your language learning throughout your life and is suitable for documenting your language abilities for various uses.
The document consists of four parts: My Language Experiences, My Language Learning Strategies, My Self-Assessment Checklist (Can Do Statements), and My Language Dossier (where evidence is kept). By having students self-reflect on the "can do" statements, and then tie evidence to the statements in their dossier, this could be an efficient way to capture and demonstrate student growth. You can download a Word version of the document here. |
